REMOVAL OF OXIDES
Oxide layers absorb laser light particularly well and thus can be vaporized and removed very effectively. Oxides are instantly vaporized and ejected from the target surface by very small plasma bursts produced by the pulsed laser beam and exposing a clean oxide-free surface.
After laser cleaning, and before exposure to atmospheric oxygen and humidity, the surface is active and completely free of contamination.
Laser treated metal surfaces are perfectly prepared for adhesive bonding, welding or coating.
